Parents may not spend a lot of time thinking about the dummy educational toys they provide for their kids, but maybe they should get started. A closer look at play time shows that different types of toys stimulate different types of baby development.
For kids, playtime isn’t just fun and games. Playtime offers children a safe way to experience and learn about the real world without all the risks associated with the real world. Playtime is actually productive time that has been shown to develop talents, character, social skills, language skills, creativity, emotional strength, intellectual capacity and self-discipline.
To help parents consider the impact of different types of dummy educational toys and the impact such toys have on the child’s development, here is a list of several educational toys known to stimulate dummy play.
1. The dolls and dollhouses available today can be incredibly lifelike, which helps kids mimic real life and role play with members of their fake doll family. The emotions and bonds developed during this playtime are real. Little girls can get very attached to their dolls as they practice loving and caring for another person.
2. Soft toys are great tools for teaching imaginative play and role play, especially during toddler years. It is during these years that children begin to play in fantasy where their soft toys come to life. Many children develop strong emotional relationships with their soft toys, which makes it a warm and meaningful relationship in their early years.
3. The puppets are designed to facilitate role play and acting. Playing with puppets helps children define and explore relationships in a safe environment. Unlike other established character-based toys, most puppets are based on unknown characters, which provides children with a clean slate to use their imaginations to develop and define the character and their relationships with others.
4. Transportation toys such as cars, trucks, trains and airplanes allow children to take their imaginations on city or world trips. Transportation learning toys remove geographic boundaries to expand imaginative play into new frontiers. Children can enjoy adventure-filled journeys to new places without leaving home.
5. Playing in the kitchen and around the house, like a fake vacuum cleaner, gives children a greater sense of self-worth as they use the same heavy equipment and do the same housework as mom (and dad?).
6. Costumes are the ultimate fantasy role play toys. Costumes like cowboy outfits for boys and ballerina costumes for girls take them straight to the faux realm where all their dreams come true.
7. Themed sets provide a pretend setting for real-world situations such as grocery store cash registers, ATMs, food games, and doctor games. The theme sets help children understand the world around them and motivate them to learn more about these encounters in the real world.
Perhaps the best way for children to learn is to read books aloud to allow them to interact and participate in the stories. However, after books, fictional educational toys promote baby development in many different ways.
